James Dumont, nato il 12 agosto 1965 negli Stati Uniti, è un attore. Interpreta il capitano Richard Lafouchette in Treme. È guest star nella prima, seconda, terza e quarta stagione. È attivo dal 1980 e ha anche avuto ruoli ricorrenti nella terza stagione ambientata a New Orleans di American Horror Story e Men of a Certain Age. Ha avuto ruoli da ospite nelle serie Nashville, Hung e Mad Men. Ha anche avuto ruoli nei film Speed (1994), Catch Me If You Can (2002), S.W.A.T. (2003) e Dallas Buyers Club (2013).
